Job Overview:
The role of the Coordinatrice or Coordinateur Déploiement Polaris involves ensuring the deployment of the financing plan component of the Polaris tool in country offices and guaranteeing the sustainability of training and support systems for users. This position is crucial for the effective implementation of financial management practices within the organization. The individual will work under the supervision of the Service Manager for Tools, Training, and Projects, and will be responsible for organizing and facilitating the deployment of Polaris in various country offices. This includes training new users in the regions and country offices, providing functional support to users of the tool, and making available documentation related to the use of the tool and associated processes. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and effective communication skills to ensure that all users are well-equipped to utilize the Polaris tool effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:
  • Organizing and ensuring the deployment of the Polaris tool in country offices, which involves coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate a smooth implementation process.
  • Conducting training sessions for new users of Polaris in regional offices and country offices, ensuring that all users are adequately trained and confident in using the tool.
  • Providing ongoing functional support to users of the Polaris tool, addressing any issues or questions that may arise during its use.
  • Developing and distributing documentation related to the use of the Polaris tool and the associated processes, ensuring that all users have access to the necessary resources.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that the financial management practices are aligned with the overall goals of Action contre la Faim.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of the training and support provided, making adjustments as necessary to improve user experience and tool utilization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher education degree in financial management and have at least 2 years of field experience in a financial management role, specifically overseeing the financial operations of a country office. Technical skills required for this position include knowledge of budget cycles, project tracking, commitment and cash accounting, donor reporting standards, pedagogical engineering, and project management. Additionally, candidates should have advanced Excel skills and demonstrate strong pedagogical abilities, effective communication skills, and problem-solving capabilities. The ability to work in an international environment and proficiency in English, both spoken and written, are essential for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a higher education degree in financial management or a related field.   • This is a full-time position based in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). The salary range is between 41,000 to 50,000 euros gross annually, depending on experience. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year and 21 days of RTT (reduction of working time). Health coverage and insurance are provided, with 80% of costs covered by Action contre la Faim. There are also provisions for salary maintenance during illness, maternity, and paternity leave. Transport allowances cover 50% of the commuting costs between home and work, and meal vouchers are partially funded by the organization. The position allows for remote work, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and events, which are limited to three days per month.
