This position offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the challenges faced by national innovation systems in the Asia-Pacific region and the operations of the United Nations in supporting sustainable development goals (SDGs). The intern will also contribute to the organization's communication strategies, helping to shape and deliver knowledge products that enhance the visibility and recognition of APCTT's work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's daily responsibilities will vary based on their background and the duration of the internship. Key duties include designing and producing communication materials such as event flyers, posters, factsheets, and infographics using tools like Canva and Adobe Suite. The intern will draft and edit content for APCTT's website, newsletter, and social media channels, including LinkedIn and Twitter. They will also produce short promotional videos and multimedia content, prepare PowerPoint presentations and briefing documents for events, and develop ideas to enhance the interactivity of the technology database on the APCTT website. Additionally, the intern will support the organization of Hackathons, capacity-building events, and conferences, assist in knowledge management functions, and engage in outreach activities related to regional forums and meetings.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates who have recently graduated or are currently enrolled in a graduate programme are encouraged to apply, provided they can start the internship within a year of graduation.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have relevant experience in web-based research and digital content creation. While specific years of experience are not mandated, familiarity with the topics of climate technologies and sustainable development is highly beneficial. The intern should demonstrate a capacity for effective communication and networking, which can be evidenced through previous internships, academic projects, or relevant volunteer work.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory for this internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is considered an advantage. The working languages of the United Nations Secretariat are English and French, and proficiency in these languages will enhance the intern's ability to contribute effectively to the organization's objectives.
