Job Overview: The Research Intern will work closely with the designated staff of APCTT to support the implementation of the Centre's substantive work programme. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's daily responsibilities will vary based on their background and the duration of the internship. Key duties include conducting research and literature reviews on topics such as technology transfer, climate technologies, and sustainable development; assisting in the preparation of research papers and policy briefs; planning and organizing webinars and workshops; identifying potential collaborators; monitoring developments in science and technology policy; supporting knowledge management functions; and conducting research on technology transfer offices in the Asia-Pacific region. The intern may also be involved in other activities as directed by their supervisor, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Communications, Journalism, Climate Change, Environment, Innovation, or International Relations. Alternatively, candidates who have recently graduated with a university degree in these areas may also apply, provided they commence the internship within one year of graduation. A good understanding of climate technologies and sustainable development is essential, along with experience in web-based research and digital content creation. Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in standard software applications are required, while familiarity with AI tools and social media platforms is desirable. Data handling skills and experience in community management or event coordination are advantageous.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a graduate degree in fields related to communications, journalism, climate change, environment, innovation, sustainable development, or international relations. Candidates who have recently graduated with a relevant university degree are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the timeline for commencing the internship.
Experience: While professional work experience is not mandatory for this internship, candidates are expected to be computer literate and possess skills in standard software applications.
