Job Overview: The Analyst position within the EBRD's Operations & Service Management division is crucial for the effective management of donor-funded resources. The role involves utilizing the Bank's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure sound financial management of donor resources. The Analyst will collaborate with various departments, including Impact & Partnerships, Donor Funds Accounting, and Banking and policy teams. This position requires a deep understanding of donor-funded processes and the ability to manage multiple transactions daily, ensuring compliance with both donor and Bank requirements. The Analyst will also be responsible for providing advisory services, improving processes, and supporting internal clients while adhering to strict deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will have a range of responsibilities, including setting up, changing, and closing funds in the ERP system, managing the earmarking process, and ensuring compliance with legal agreements. They will provide advisory services to internal stakeholders to align donor requirements with practice, contribute to process improvements, and conduct investigations into compliance issues. The Analyst will also document work for internal and external auditors, support the management of donor funds, issue billings, and ensure accurate currency and exchange rate entries in the ERP system. Additionally, they will generate reports to monitor donor fund availability and analyze data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree and have a strong understanding of the Bank's ERP system. They should demonstrate strong numerical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret financial information effectively. Familiarity with the Bank's donor-funded business and related products is advantageous. The role requires excellent organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and strong interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platforms and experience in dashboard creation and data visualization are also essential. Candidates should be able to build partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives, along with possessing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Educational Background: A university degree is required for this position. The degree should ideally be in a field related to finance, economics, or business administration, as these areas provide the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding financial management and donor-funded processes.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have relevant experience in financial management, particularly within donor-funded environments. Experience with ERP systems and a solid understanding of financial processes are critical. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role or within an international financial institution would be beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they relate to the regions in which the EBRD operates, but English proficiency is essential for effective communication within the organization.
