Job Overview:
The Analyst, Operational Risk position is designed to support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Bank's Operational Risk Management Framework. This role is crucial in ensuring that operational risks are effectively identified, assessed, monitored, and reported across the organization. The Analyst will work closely with various teams to contribute to day-to-day operational risk management activities, including the collection and analysis of risk, control, and incident data. The position also involves preparing reports for internal stakeholders and providing independent insights into risks managed by the business. The Analyst will assist in reviewing and challenging risk assessments and control effectiveness, thereby playing a vital role in the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) support system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operational Risk Analyst will be responsible for several key tasks, including: contributing to the maintenance and ongoing operation of the Operational Risk Framework, including security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Information Security risk measures; liaising with teams across the Bank to support delivery against agreed plans; assisting the business with the identification, analysis, and documentation of processes and controls; supporting periodic reviews of business Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs); monitoring and analyzing operational risk issues and incidents; contributing to the delivery of Operational Risk reporting and dashboards; supporting the monitoring and analysis of external data sources; delivering operational risk training to Business Risk Champions and other stakeholders; and supporting the implementation of the GRC system. The Analyst will also provide support to enhance Enterprise Risk Frameworks and related guidance, ensuring that all activities align with the operational risk framework.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in finance, business, economics, risk management, or a related discipline, or have equivalent on-the-job training or practical experience. Foundational knowledge of operational risk management frameworks, processes, and tools is essential, along with an interest in developing broader non-financial risk expertise over time. Experience gained through early career roles, placements, or internships in financial services or similarly regulated environments is required, particularly with exposure to risk, control, audit, or compliance activities. A developing understanding of operational risk processes and the ability to analyze information from multiple sources with attention to detail are also necessary.

Educational Background:
A degree in finance, business, economics, risk management, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with equivalent practical experience or on-the-job training will also be considered. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in understanding financial systems and risk management principles.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have early career experience, which can be gained through internships, placements, or entry-level roles in financial services, development finance, or similarly complex organizational environments. Exposure to risk, control, audit, or compliance activities is essential, as is a developing understanding of operational risk processes such as RCSAs, incidents, issues, and controls.

Languages:
