Job Overview:
The Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the design and implementation of the Sickle Cell Disease program in Odisha, India. This position involves working closely with the Program Manager to achieve grant objectives related to screening and treatment for Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia. The Analyst will engage with government officials to facilitate program implementation and will be responsible for developing data collection and evaluation tools to inform program strategy. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication, with a strong emphasis on independent functioning and a commitment to excellence. The Analyst will also need to travel 30% of the time to program sites within Odisha for stakeholder meetings and implementation activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst's responsibilities include supporting the formulation and implementation of the Sickle Cell Disease program in alignment with government priorities. They will ensure the quality of program design by incorporating lessons learned and best practices, and establish appropriate monitoring mechanisms. The Analyst will develop data collection tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making, analyze facility and community-level data to identify gaps, and stay updated on policy developments. They will support demand generation and supply chain management efforts, coordinate project outputs, and assist in the development of presentations and reports for stakeholders. Additionally, the Analyst will document the ecosystem of donors and partners, scope new opportunities for grants, and undertake other responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in a relevant field such as public health, administration, economics, social work, sociology, or management. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience at the Bachelor's level and at least 1 year of relevant experience is required. High proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, Data Studio, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word is essential, with experience in advanced analytical tools being a plus. Candidates should have the ability to synthesize complex information and prepare compelling presentations and reports, along with excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Experience working with government stakeholders and familiarity with the Indian public health system is advantageous.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in a relevant field such as public health, administration, economics, social work, sociology, or management. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of health systems and program implementation.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience at the Bachelor's level and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Experience in management consulting, the pharmaceutical industry, or other relevant sectors is preferred. Familiarity with the Indian public health system and experience working with government stakeholders will be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills required. Fluency in Odia is considered a plus, as it would facilitate communication with local stakeholders and communities.
