Job Overview: The position is for an intern who will support the team in various missions related to agricultural water management. The intern will conduct an internal and external documentary review, cataloging irrigation projects identified by the Regional Technical Officers (RTOs). This will involve targeted documentary research with international organizations, research institutes, and NGOs working on agricultural water issues. The intern will analyze collected internal and external resources, assess current approaches and techniques in agricultural water management, and conduct targeted interviews with field and headquarters teams of Action contre la Faim. The goal is to identify best practices and lessons learned, consolidating the information gathered to highlight technical (irrigation systems, agro-ecological practices) and organizational approaches. The intern will also produce short technical sheets in both French and English, drafting them according to identified themes on efficient agricultural water approaches, integrating tools, illustrations, and practical recommendations. Additionally, the intern will support the dissemination of these sheets by proposing a dissemination strategy and co-facilitating at least one webinar to present the sheets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct an internal and external documentary review on agricultural water management.
Catalog irrigation projects identified by Regional Technical Officers (RTOs).
Perform targeted documentary research with international organizations, research institutes, and NGOs.

Assess current approaches and techniques in agricultural water management.

Consolidate information gathered to highlight technical and organizational approaches.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must be in training in agronomy, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), rural engineering, or related fields. They should have good knowledge of agricultural water management, irrigation, or agroecology. Experience in bibliographic research and drafting synthesis notes is essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical, synthesis, and writing skills, as well as the ability to conduct technical interviews. Strong written and oral communication skills are required, along with recognized rigor, organization, and autonomy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also necessary.
Educational Background: The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled in a relevant educational program, such as agronomy, WASH, rural engineering, or related fields. A mandatory internship agreement from a French educational institution is required for this position.
Experience: Candidates should have prior experience in conducting bibliographic research and drafting synthesis notes. Familiarity with agricultural water management and irrigation practices is preferred, along with experience in conducting interviews and analyzing data.
Languages: Fluency in French and English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Spanish is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's profile and ability to communicate in diverse contexts.

The internship is compensated at a rate of 4.57 euros net per hour, based on a 35-hour work week. The weekly working time is set at 38.75 hours. Additionally, meal vouchers worth 8 euros are provided, with 60% covered by Action contre la Faim. The organization also covers 50% of public transport costs.
