Job Overview:
The Cluster Lead will play a pivotal role in the deployment and operationalization of handheld digital chest X-ray (dCXR) machines and the DeepCXR AI tool across a designated cluster of states in India. This position requires a strong focus on coordination with state program teams, facility staff, and vendors to ensure that the machines are installed, functional, and effectively utilized for tuberculosis (TB) screening. The Cluster Lead will also be responsible for building the capacity of radiographers and field teams through structured training sessions, hands-on support, and troubleshooting, thereby acting as a crucial link between the national program and ground-level implementation. The role is essential in supporting the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) in its ambitious goal of eliminating TB in India, particularly in light of the significant burden of the disease in the country.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Cluster Lead include coordinating the deployment, installation, and operationalization of handheld X-ray machines across assigned states and facilities. The Cluster Lead will support the installation and configuration of DeepCXR on X-ray devices, monitor installation timelines, utilization status, and operational challenges, and escalate any delays or unresolved issues to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, the Cluster Lead will provide first-level troubleshooting support for handheld X-ray machines and DeepCXR software, assist in training radiographers and field teams on machine operation, image quality, radiation safety, and DeepCXR usage, and offer refresher training and on-site mentoring to improve utilization and competency at the facility level. The Cluster Lead will also support the development and standardization of standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals based on field requirements, and serve as the primary coordination link between assigned states and the Central TB Division for technical and operational support.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a graduate or master's degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, public health, health technology, radiography, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of experience in health program implementation, preferably at the field level, is essential. Candidates should have prior experience in device deployment, field coordination, or technical support in a health setting, as well as demonstrated ability to conduct training and capacity building for health workers. A willingness and ability to undertake extensive field travel across the assigned cluster is also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a graduate or master's degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, public health, health technology, radiography, or a related discipline. This educational background is critical for understanding the complexities of health systems and the technical aspects of the devices being deployed.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in health program implementation, with a preference for candidates who have worked at the field level. Experience in device deployment, field coordination, or technical support in a health setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with tuberculosis programs, particularly in Active Case Finding (ACF) or chest X-ray-based TB screening, is preferred, as is prior experience working with government health systems at the state or district level.

Languages:
Proficiency in local languages of the assigned state is considered an advantage, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of training and support provided to health workers.

Additional Notes:
The position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work location. The last date to apply for this position is 26th July, 202
  • The role may involve extensive travel within the assigned cluster, and candidates should be prepared for this requirement. The position is full-time and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on public health in India through the elimination of tuberculosis.
