The intern will draft and edit content for APCTT's website, newsletter, and social media channels, as well as produce multimedia content like promotional videos and event highlights. Additional responsibilities involve preparing presentations and briefing documents, enhancing the interactivity of the technology database on the APCTT website, organizing Hackathons and capacity-building events, and supporting knowledge management functions. The intern will also assist in outreach activities related to regional forums and meetings, and undertake other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent) in fields such as Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Climate Change, Environment, Innovation, Sustainable Development, or International Relations related to science and technology. Alternatively, candidates who have recently graduated with a relevant university degree may also apply, provided they commence the internship within one year of graduation. The ideal candidate should possess a good understanding of climate technologies and sustainable development, experience in web-based research and digital content creation, excellent written communication and networking skills, and proficiency in standard software applications including MS Office and Canva.
Educational Background: A graduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Climate Change, Environment, Innovation, Sustainable Development, or International Relations related to science and technology is required. Candidates who have recently graduated with a relevant degree and can start the internship within a year of graduation are also eligible. This educational background is essential to ensure that the intern has the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the organization's objectives.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have some level of experience in web-based research and digital content creation. While specific years of experience are not mandated, familiarity with the topics of climate technologies and sustainable development is highly beneficial.
