Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer's duties include managing the supply chain according to established rules and procedures, drafting reports on procurement activities, updating price lists, maintaining supplier registers, monitoring contracts, and tracking expenses related to fleet and internet usage. The officer will also be responsible for archiving logistics documents in compliance with NRC standards, supporting the Logistics Team Leader in market analysis, identifying and managing supplier risks, participating in supplier evaluations, and contributing to the monitoring of framework agreements available in the Sud-Kivu region. Additionally, the officer will perform any other relevant tasks related to their function as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Bacc + 3) in logistics or a related field, or have at least four years of relevant experience in similar positions if their educational background is lower. Professional experience of at least one year in a support function, preferably in supply chain management within a humanitarian context, is required. Candidates should also have procurement skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and a proven track record of fulfilling job responsibilities effectively.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with lower educational qualifications must have significant relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management to be considered for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of one year of professional experience as an officer in a support function, preferably within the supply chain in a humanitarian context. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of logistics operations and have experience in procurement processes.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, with excellent writing and communication skills. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, and knowledge of local languages is also advantageous. Familiarity with Congolese legislation and the local environment of Sud-Kivu is beneficial.
