Job Overview: The position of Responsable de Projet Eau, Hygiène et Assainissement involves ensuring the distribution of water in precarious housing neighborhoods and maintaining mini gravity networks. The role also includes quality control of water, supervising treated water production activities, and participating in defining strategies for raising awareness about waterborne diseases. The candidate will be responsible for assessing EHA needs based on the evolving context. Since March 2020, SI has been active in France to address issues of water, hygiene, and sanitation precariousness across five territories, partnering with metropolitan water and sanitation operators and their foundations. The projects target populations living in precarious housing sites with limited access to basic services, including drinking water, sanitation, and essential hygiene products. SI's strategy is to support local actors in finding concrete solutions by improving sanitary conditions through the installation of drinking water supply systems, sanitation infrastructures, and developing pilot projects tailored to the context of each intervention area.
Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of the Responsable de Projet Eau, Hygiène et Assainissement include:
Ensuring the distribution of water in precarious neighborhoods and maintaining mini gravity networks.
Conducting quality control of water and supervising treated water production activities.
Participating in the definition of awareness strategies against waterborne diseases.
Evaluating EHA needs based on the evolving context.
Implementing EHA activities directly, including monitoring chlorination, treated water production, and maintaining gravity networks.
Supporting an agent and assistant in water production.
Initiating standby projects such as well rehabilitation.
Establishing a link between technical EHA needs and field feedback.
Training community relay maintenance personnel. 1
Monitoring drinking water production.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Experience in a similar position ranging from 0 to 2 years.
Experience in the humanitarian sector ranging from 0 to 2 years.
Technical knowledge related to drinking water regulations.
Basic plumbing skills and knowledge of ultrafiltration.
Project management skills, including monitoring indicators and planning activities.
Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with partners, teams, and the public.
Good writing skills and autonomy in work.
Educational Background: Candidates are expected to have a technical diploma in water management or equivalent training in RPEHA Bioforce. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of water distribution and sanitation management in humanitarian contexts.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have between 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, as well as experience in the humanitarian sector. This level of experience is crucial for understanding the challenges and dynamics of working in precarious environments and effectively managing water and sanitation projects.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Shimahoré is considered a plus, which would enhance communication with local communities and stakeholders.

The salary for this position ranges from EUR 2865 to 2985 gross per month, depending on experience.
