Job Overview:
The Programme Associate (Data Analysis) position at WFP is crucial for supporting data-driven assurance and oversight for Cash-Based Transfers (CBT). The role involves analyzing data related to identity management (IDM) and CBT assurance, which includes tasks such as reconciliation, anomaly detection, verification exercises, and reporting. The Associate will work closely with the CBT operational team and relevant stakeholders to ensure that WFP effectively reaches the right people and manages its relationships with communities responsibly and accountably. This position is vital for strengthening program controls, ensuring data quality, and facilitating evidence-based decision-making. The Associate will report directly to the National Officer for Cash-Based Transfers and will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of data used in WFP's operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Associate (Data Analysis) include:
  • Analyzing IDM and CBT data to generate insights that support assurance, controls, and operational decision-making.
  • Contributing to monthly CBT assurance outputs by performing data reconciliation, anomaly detection, verification, and required analyses.
  • Writing and maintaining SQL queries and scripts to extract, reconcile, and validate data from corporate tools and country office systems.
  • Performing routine data quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of CBT datasets and reports.
  • Preparing monthly datasets and reporting outputs in line with corporate data governance and CBT requirements.
  • Acting as a focal point for IDM and CBT assurance analysis and related reporting under the guidance of the supervisor.
  • Supporting data availability and system transitions through dataset migration, testing, and coordination with HQ.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and visualizations to support operational and management monitoring.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Programme Associate (Data Analysis) position include:
  • Completion of secondary school education, with a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area being essential. A university degree is desirable.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant field and 1 year in any other field, preferably related to the position.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Tableau, with experience in building visualizations.
  • A problem-solving and client-oriented attitude is essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in a related functional area is essential, while a university degree is considered desirable.
