Job Overview:
The Monitoring Assistant position at WFP is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery of assistance packages within a designated coverage area. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Verify the planned movements and distribution of food or non-food items, reporting any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor for timely resolution.
  • Maintain information records and monitor plan documentation, such as records of commodity movements and program checklists, to assist in effective delivery and distribution.
  • Collate assistance program data according to clear direction to support program reviews and decision-making.
  • Liaise with cooperating partners and internal counterparts to gather feedback and comments for program reviews and service improvements.
  • Receive and collate comments and feedback from partners and beneficiaries to identify programmatic issues and foster efficient operations.
  • Provide guidance to cooperating partners on WFP operational practices and monitor tools to support self-monitoring tasks.
  • Prepare field mission reports to document program implementation.
  • Follow established emergency response processes for emergency food assistance.
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as assigned by the activity manager.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completion of secondary school education or a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business administration, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of field work experience in sectors such as social development, humanitarian work, health, nutrition, or security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security. Experience in analyzing program output and outcome data is also required, along with a general knowledge of WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards.
