Job Overview:
The Driver position is crucial for the UNDP Regional Hub for Arab States located in Amman, Jordan. The Driver will also be responsible for delivering official correspondence to government and non-government entities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. This role is part of the Operations Management Team, which supports various functions including financial management, human resources, procurement, and logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver's primary duties include providing safe driving services to UNDP officials and high-ranking visitors, transporting senior management, and assisting with airport pickups and customs arrangements. The Driver is responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle, ensuring proper use, conducting daily maintenance, and keeping accurate vehicle logs. They must ensure the availability of necessary documents and supplies in the vehicle, including insurance and first aid kits. The Driver will also support administrative tasks such as processing customs entries and assisting with visa requests. Additional responsibilities may include performing other duties as required for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess secondary education and a valid driver's license. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience as a driver with a safe driving record is required. Knowledge of driving rules and regulations, as well as skills in minor vehicle repair and maintenance, are essential. Desired qualifications include experience in an NGO or UN environment, basic and advanced security training, and familiarity with office software packages such as MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of protocols and security requirements is considered an advantage.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is secondary education. Candidates must also hold a valid driver's license, which is essential for performing the driving duties associated with the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant work experience as a driver, demonstrating a safe driving record. Experience in driving for high-ranking officials or in a similar capacity within an organization is preferred. Familiarity with the operational environment of NGOs or UN agencies is an asset, as it indicates an understanding of the protocols and expectations associated with such roles.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic is required for this position.
