Job Overview:
The position of Pharmacien biologiste at the Centre de Traitement Ambulatoire (CTA) de Fann involves being a member of the clinical team at FHI 360 Senegal. The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical team of the EpiC project, under the administrative supervision of the Regional Associate Director and functional supervision of the Clinical Advisor. The role is crucial for supporting the implementation of program activities and contributing effectively to the provision of HIV services at the health center. The Pharmacien biologiste will ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the HIV care cascade from screening to viral load measurement, ensuring the correct execution of laboratory tests and the timely reporting of results.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The specific duties and responsibilities of the Pharmacien biologiste include: conducting client screenings according to the national protocol, ensuring compliance with laboratory biosafety practices, overseeing quality assurance throughout the laboratory process from sample collection to result reporting, validating biological results and ensuring their availability, verifying the accuracy and completeness of viral load and screening registers, managing the availability of inputs and reagents for testing and viral load measurement, ordering and tracking laboratory inputs, defining training and equipment needs for laboratory personnel, communicating weekly with the reference laboratory regarding platforms, inputs, samples, and viral load results, ensuring data entry of viral load results into the tracker, maintaining accurate maintenance records, ensuring calibration and validation of methods, ordering and tracking laboratory reagents and other inputs, drafting and submitting detailed analysis reports, defining standard parameters for inputs and reagents according to norms, managing non-conformities, and performing any other professional tasks assigned by management. Additionally, the Pharmacien biologiste will be responsible for biological sampling of patients during home visits.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Pharmacien biologiste position include: a state diploma in pharmacy with a specialization in biology, the ability to perform biological validation of laboratory tests, the capability to analyze raw materials and confirm their microbiological and physicochemical characteristics, experience in managing laboratory reagent stocks, a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated professional experience, the ability to work in a multisectoral environment, strong organizational and management skills, proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Word), experience with DHIS2 and its E-tracker module, and proven linguistic skills in French with minimal English proficiency. Knowledge of local Senegalese languages would be an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a state diploma as a Doctor of Pharmacy with a specialization in biology. This educational background is essential for performing the required laboratory validations and analyses.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field is required for this position. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to work effectively in a clinical laboratory environment and manage laboratory processes.

Languages:
Proficiency in French is mandatory, with minimal proficiency in English required. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Senegal would be considered an advantage, enhancing communication with diverse populations.

Additional Notes:
The position is a fixed-term contract (CDD) with an expected travel requirement of 5-10% for domestic travel. The expected hiring salary range for this role is XOF 22,000,000 - 30,000,000 annually for basic salary.
