Job Overview: The Investment Officer position at IFC is a critical role focused on driving impactful private sector development within the Manufacturing, Agribusiness & Services (MAS) sector in the Middle East and Central Asia (MCA) region. Duties and Responsibilities: The Investment Officer will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: designing and developing upstream initiatives, leading the execution of new transactions, and managing portfolio restructurings. They will be responsible for preparing project budgets, overseeing financial management, and ensuring compliance with IFC standards. The officer will also engage with external consultants, supervise the contracting process, and review deliverables. Additionally, the role involves generating ideas for new investment opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders, and prioritizing upstream programs. The officer will conduct research to inform ongoing and future offerings and develop new tools and guidance based on best practices. Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Investment Officer position must possess an MBA or a Master's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or economics, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. A proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and closing investments, as well as supervising loan and equity exposures, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong financial modeling abilities and have a good understanding of IFC investment processes. Familiarity with the MAS sectors, industry drivers, and market transaction arrangements, particularly in the MCA region, is highly desirable.
