Job Overview:
The Social Media Content Creator will work closely with the programme unit and the partnership team to create engaging content for WFP Armenia's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The role involves producing a minimum of 20 social media posts in various formats such as infographics and short videos that focus on themes like food security, healthy eating habits, nutrition, and the benefits of school meals. The creator will also be responsible for submitting recommendations for future content, increasing followers on social media platforms, and ensuring brand consistency across all messaging. This position is expected to last for four weeks, with the possibility of extension up to twelve weeks, and aims to enhance WFP's social media reach and engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Produce a minimum of 20 social media posts, including infographics and short videos, related to food security and nutrition.
  • Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Research and pitch relevant content ideas to the Communications Team.
  • Submit recommendations for social media content for the next three months.
  • Increase followers on WFP Armenia's social media accounts.
  • Engage with online influencers to amplify campaigns and posts.
  • Ensure brand consistency in all social media messages and visuals.
  • Amend content based on feedback from the team.
  • Collaborate with the partnership officer to align content with WFP's strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in social media content creation and management.
  • Familiarity with food security, nutrition, and related topics.
  • Ability to create visually appealing infographics and videos.
  • Knowledge of social media trends and best practices.
  • Strong research skills to identify relevant content.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Educational Background:
A background in communications, marketing, social media, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or certifications in digital marketing or social media management would be beneficial.

Experience:
Previous experience in social media content creation or digital marketing is required. Candidates should have a portfolio showcasing their work in creating engaging social media content, particularly in the areas of food security or nutrition.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Armenian or Russian would be considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This position is a volunteer role for a duration of four weeks, with the possibility of extension up to twelve weeks. The role is part-time and remote, allowing for flexibility in working hours. The position is open to both national and international applicants.
