Job Overview: The E T Consultant position at the World Bank Group is a critical role within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit. This unit is instrumental in enabling the organization to fulfill its mission of eradicating extreme poverty and enhancing shared prosperity through the delivery of transformative information and technologies. The consultant will be part of the Corporate Solutions Department (ITSCO), which is dedicated to the digital transformation of essential corporate services. This role involves working on various projects that ensure the seamless operation of WBG's corporate services, focusing on personnel administration, benefits, and health services. The consultant will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of benefits solutions, ensuring that the systems are resilient, accurate, and confidential. The position requires collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define technical specifications, as well as leading small projects and providing technical direction.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the E T Consultant include: contributing to the technical design, development, and implementation of WBG Benefits solutions and initiatives; performing feasibility analysis and supporting solution design and integration efforts; partnering with business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define technical specifications; leading small projects or workstreams and providing technical direction as needed; developing, configuring, and testing solutions, including conducting code reviews and contributing to test plans; supporting production systems through monitoring, maintenance, and on-call support; and providing documentation, user training, and technical guidance or mentorship to team members.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Specifically, candidates should have experience in designing and implementing integrated Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, strong technical and functional expertise in WBG benefits, proven problem-solving skills, and experience in code reviews and solution architecture. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate experience in developing and implementing custom solutions across diverse technologies, a strong drive for innovation and continuous learning, and effective communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Candidates with a combination of education and experience in the IT field will also be considered, particularly those with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field, with a focus on integrated HCM solutions. Candidates with experience in the IT sector, particularly in roles that involve technical design, development, and implementation of benefits solutions, will be preferred.
