Job Overview: The Analyst, G&EI position is integral to the Gender and Economic Inclusion (G&EI) team within the Policy and Strategy Delivery department of the EBRD. This role is focused on supporting the implementation of the EBRD Gender Equality and Human Capital Strategy (GEHC) for the period 2026–203
The Analyst will work on enhancing the development impact of the Bank's operations by ensuring that gender considerations are integrated into project designs and implementations. This includes providing quality assurance, strengthening monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks, and contributing to high-quality impact reporting and donor engagement. The Analyst will also support G&EI experts and banking project teams in delivering gender and human capital components, ensuring that results are evidence-based and scalable.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will be responsible for several key tasks, including: supporting the operationalisation of the GEHC Strategy, contributing to the management of the gender additionality process, and strengthening monitoring and evaluation frameworks to capture outcomes and impacts effectively. The role involves delivering inputs for quarterly Bank reporting, coordinating G&EI’s technical cooperation projects, and analyzing the impact of Bank projects. The Analyst will create knowledge tools and communications materials, assist in preparing for internal and external events, and perform ad hoc assignments such as background research and drafting policy notes. The position requires collaboration across departments and pillars to ensure effective strategy delivery and impact assessment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in economics, international development, gender studies, or a related field from a reputable university. They should have demonstrated expertise in policy-oriented roles with a focus on monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks. Experience in strategy delivery and process optimisation is advantageous. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with database and analytic software are required. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Background: A postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as economics, international development, or gender studies is required for this position. The educational background should be from a leading university, emphasizing the importance of a strong academic foundation in the relevant disciplines.
Experience: Candidates should have prior work experience in policy-oriented, development, gender, or inclusion-focused roles. This experience should include a focus on monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks, ideally gained through full-time employment in a financial institution, governmental body, consultancy, think tank, or academia. Familiarity with the EBRD region and experience in crisis-affected contexts are beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of one or more languages from the EBRD region is considered an advantage, enhancing the ability to engage with local stakeholders and understand regional contexts.
