Job Overview: The ET Consultant position is situated within the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit of the World Bank Group. This role is pivotal in enabling the organization to fulfill its mission of eradicating extreme poverty and enhancing shared prosperity through the delivery of transformative information and technology solutions. The consultant will be responsible for driving the adoption of Agile methodologies across technology teams, ensuring compliance with established processes, and facilitating effective governance. The position requires a proactive approach to managing Agile ceremonies, defining process standards, and embedding IT Service Management (ITSM) practices into the Agile framework. The consultant will also be tasked with building management dashboards and reporting artifacts to provide leadership with visibility into project progress and delivery health metrics. This role is crucial for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization, aligning technology initiatives with the World Bank Group's overarching mission and business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The ET Consultant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: driving the adoption of Agile methodologies across technology teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and PI Planning, ensuring process consistency and compliance with Agile standards. The consultant will define, document, and enforce Agile process standards aligned with SAFe principles, and lead initiatives to embed ITSM processes into the Agile operating rhythm. Additionally, the consultant will build and maintain management dashboards to track sprint velocity, PI progress, and delivery health metrics, identify process gaps, and define corrective actions. The role also involves serving as the Agile governance champion, continuously refining ways of working, facilitating retrospectives, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in defining and governing Agile processes in a SAFe or scaled Agile environment is essential. A proven track record of driving Agile adoption across teams, including coaching and measurable improvements in delivery practices, is required. Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, particularly in change management and incident management, is also necessary. Strong analytical skills are crucial for designing and maintaining dashboards that translate delivery data into actionable insights. Excellent written communication skills are required for producing clear process documentation and governance frameworks.
Educational Background: The position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field, or a Bachelor's degree with significant experience in a related area. Candidates should have a strong educational background that supports their ability to understand and implement Agile methodologies and ITSM practices effectively.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field if holding a Master's degree, or at least 7 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
