Job Overview:
The Senior Manager, Digital Innovation & Applied AI, plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and initiatives of the Digital Innovation & AI portfolio within the India Country Office (ICO). This position involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including government entities, philanthropic organizations, and the private sector, to develop and implement transformative Digital Innovation and Applied AI interventions. The role requires a strategic leader with expertise in program management, change management, and stakeholder engagement, as well as a strong understanding of AI and digital technologies. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the development of scalable AI-based solutions through partnerships, ensuring that these innovations maximize impact and align with the foundation's long-term strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager will provide leadership on all Digital & Applied AI initiatives supported by the Digital Innovation & AI team across various program areas. Responsibilities include building partnerships with AI companies and the innovation ecosystem in India to promote the adoption of AI-enabled systems, co-designing high-impact interventions, and evolving the 'AI for Good' strategy for India. The role also involves developing relationships with technology partners, collaborating with government stakeholders for capacity building, identifying opportunities for AI-enabled health R&D, managing investments related to Digital Innovation & AI, conducting analyses of grants and contracts, mentoring the Digital & Applied AI team, and maintaining relationships with key ministries and departments. Additionally, the Senior Manager will represent the foundation on industry and public engagement priorities related to Digital & Applied AI.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in relevant fields such as technology, digital, AI, or business administration, along with at least 10 years of senior-level experience in developing and implementing large-scale Digital & Applied AI initiatives. Demonstrated experience in the Digital Innovation & Applied AI space, particularly at the State or National level, is essential. Familiarity with India's AI/digital ecosystem is crucial, as is experience managing grants and contracts focused on Digital and AI development. Candidates should have a proven track record in results-oriented environments, such as technology companies, consulting firms, development agencies, or philanthropic organizations, and a passion for solving complex problems through digital innovation, especially in health.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree in relevant fields such as technology, digital, AI, or business administration. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage and lead Digital Innovation & Applied AI initiatives.

Experience:
