Job Overview:
In the role of Global Accounting Services Chief Financial Officer, you will report directly to the CFO and be a vital member of the financial leadership team based in Seattle, Washington. This strategic position involves leading the global accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, and financial compliance functions for one of the largest private foundations in the world, which manages over $89 billion in assets and operates across multiple international offices and affiliated entities. Your leadership will be crucial in overseeing annual disbursements exceeding $8 billion, managing global payroll operations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will be expected to provide visionary leadership while balancing operational rigor with strategic transformation, partnering closely with executive leadership and other stakeholders to ensure world-class financial stewardship and scalable financial systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Chief Financial Officer, your responsibilities will include providing executive leadership for the foundation’s global accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, and financial compliance functions. You will shape and execute a long-term strategic vision for global financial operations that supports organizational growth and mission impact. You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and country office directors, establishing accounting policies and governance standards across international offices. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements, maintain a strong internal control environment, and oversee financial statements and audits. You will lead global business transformation initiatives, integrating AI-enabled tools and modern financial systems, and support the establishment of new entities and international offices. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, with a CPA certification required. Significant executive-level finance and accounting leadership experience within complex, global organizations is essential. Candidates should have deep expertise in global accounting operations, tax strategy, financial reporting, treasury management, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives and strong strategic orientation are necessary, along with experience advising senior executives and boards. An advanced understanding of enterprise risk management and governance frameworks is also required, as well as exceptional collaboration and influencing skills.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
