Job Overview:
The Chauffeur du Projet will be based in Bunia and will play a crucial role in the logistics of the project by participating in pickups and deliveries related to project activities. The position requires the chauffeur to perform general warehousing tasks as needed, ensuring that all responsibilities are carried out safely, quickly, and efficiently. The chauffeur is expected to follow the supervisor's instructions regarding daily delivery or pickup services, maintain the vehicle in optimal condition, and assist with loading and unloading packages. The role also involves planning the best routes for transportation, maintaining a professional attitude during trips, and ensuring timely vehicle return to the garage. The chauffeur will be responsible for minor vehicle repairs and general maintenance, contributing to the overall efficiency of the project operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Chauffeur du Projet will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: following the supervisor's instructions for daily deliveries and pickups; completing the vehicle checklist every morning; checking the vehicle's tires, engine, and seat belts to ensure they are in good working order; ensuring optimal fluid levels in the vehicle; cleaning the vehicle's interior and exterior daily; assisting with loading and unloading packages; helping passengers with boarding and luggage; mentally planning the best routes to destinations; using maps and GPS for route planning; maintaining a professional demeanor during trips; transporting company professionals to and from desired destinations; delivering packages while keeping accurate knowledge of destinations and contacts; collecting and relaying customer complaints to the supervisor; returning the vehicle to the garage on time; changing tires and performing minor repairs on the vehicle; conducting general and preventive maintenance on the vehicle; and ensuring the vehicle is washed according to specific instructions.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree being a plus. Candidates should possess a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, with experience in NGOs or INGOs being preferable. The role demands personal responsibility, integrity, trustworthiness, collaboration skills, and a willingness to learn from experiences.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree is considered an advantage, indicating a higher level of education that may benefit the role.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of relevant experience, particularly in roles related to driving and logistics. Experience working with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) is preferred, as it demonstrates familiarity with the operational context and challenges faced in humanitarian work.

Languages:
Fluency in French and Swahili is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of English and other local languages is considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and community members.

Additional Notes:
The role may require travel of 25% to 50%, indicating that the chauffeur will need to be flexible and available for trips as required by project needs.
