Job Overview: The director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director, Strategy and Planning Management (DDSPM) plays a pivotal role in leading the strategic and operational planning for integrated program areas within the foundation. This position is crucial for overseeing various business processes, including strategic planning, annual budgeting, and portfolio management. The DDSPM collaborates closely with the Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation team to shape the culture and norms of the team and leadership. The role involves ongoing strategy development, progress monitoring, and ensuring alignment of the team's work with the foundation's strategic goals. The DDSPM is also responsible for fostering an inclusive team culture, managing talent, and ensuring that the foundation's goals are met through effective leadership and management practices.
Duties and Responsibilities: The DDSPM will engage in ongoing strategy development and progress monitoring in collaboration with colleagues. Key responsibilities include driving alignment of the team's work to strategic and implementation plans, developing and executing a portfolio management approach that ensures effective stewardship and resource allocation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The DDSPM will provide feedback and advisory support to program teams regarding major grants, cultivate insights for portfolio allocation, and coordinate engagement opportunities for the Executive Leadership Team and Board. Additionally, the DDSPM will oversee the rhythm of business across the team, manage Program Assistants, design organizational structures, promote the foundation's culture and values, facilitate retreats, and manage succession planning and team performance.
