Job Overview:
The temporary positions at CMRE are designed for individuals who are nationals of NATO member states and possess relevant skills in various disciplines such as Budget and Finance, Human Resources, Infrastructure, Marine Operations, Procurement and Contracting, or Information Knowledge Management. Candidates must be available for temporary employment on short notice, which may require them to have a valid NATO security clearance or the ability to reactivate a previous clearance swiftly. The roles are situated within the Operational Support Division of CMRE, where employees will support various operational functions critical to the organization's mission. The positions require a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall success of CMRE's research and operational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties for these temporary positions include a variety of responsibilities across different functional areas. In Budget and Finance, candidates will support finance operations by entering and validating transactions in NATO financial systems and maintaining necessary documentation. In Human Resources, they will assist with personnel administration, contracts, onboarding, payroll, and leave management. For Infrastructure, the role involves supporting facilities maintenance requests and managing property records and inventories. In Marine Operations, candidates will provide administrative support for vessel operations, coordinating schedules and logistics to ensure operational continuity. In Procurement and Contracting, responsibilities include processing purchase requests and preparing purchase orders or contracts in NATO ERP systems. Lastly, in Risk, Resilience, and Information Management, candidates will manage CMRE records and correspondence, ensuring compliance with archiving and quality control standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least one year of post-related experience, or a higher secondary educational qualification with three years of post-related experience. Professional experience in one of the specified areas such as Budget and Finance, Human Resources, Infrastructure, Marine Operations, Procurement and Contracting, or Information Knowledge Management is essential. Additionally, candidates should have a thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages (English and French) and some knowledge of the other language is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for these positions includes higher vocational training in a relevant field or a higher secondary educational qualification. This educational foundation should be complemented by relevant professional experience in the respective areas of responsibility, ensuring that candidates are well-equipped to handle the tasks associated with the roles at CMRE.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in their area of expertise if they hold higher vocational training, or three years of experience if they possess a higher secondary educational qualification. This experience should be directly related to the duties outlined for the temporary positions, demonstrating the candidate's capability to perform effectively in a NATO environment.

Languages:
A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages (English and French) is essential, with English proficiency at SLP 3333 level (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) being mandatory. Some knowledge of the other NATO language is desirable, as most work at CMRE is conducted in English.

Additional Notes:
The positions are full-time, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week and 2.5 paid days of leave per month. The contract duration for temporary staff is limited to a maximum of six months for the same assignment, with the possibility of extension for an additional six months if required. The salary for temporary personnel will be specified in their contracts and is subject to taxation. Temporary staff will receive a benefits package that includes pension contributions, medical and accident benefits, and paid leave.
