Job Overview: The Project Officer - Communications position is integral to the UNODC's Programme in Uganda, which aims to enhance crime prevention, criminal justice, and environmental protection initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Project Officer - Communications include:
Drafting, editing, and designing communication content that adheres to UN standards and effectively conveys project objectives.
Researching and compiling relevant information for communication outputs to enhance the quality and impact of messaging.
Coordinating media coverage and public information activities to promote project visibility and engagement.
Supporting multimedia production, including photo, video, audio, and online content, to create engaging communication materials.
Contributing to the planning and organization of visibility events and outreach activities to raise awareness of project initiatives.
Liaising with media, partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and enhance communication efforts.
Supporting administrative and logistical processes, including procurement and budget tracking, to ensure smooth project operations.
Contributing to the development of communication strategies, newsletters, and publications to effectively communicate project achievements and objectives. 1

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Project Officer - Communications position include a strong background in communication, public relations, or a related field.
