Job Overview:
The position of Motion Graphic Design Support for UNODC's Video is crucial in enhancing the visibility and outreach of the agency's work in Afghanistan. The selected Online Volunteer will be responsible for producing two short elevator pitch videos that effectively communicate UNODC's mission and impact in the region. This role involves utilizing motion graphics to create engaging content that resonates with the audience and raises awareness about the agency's initiatives. The volunteer will work under the guidance of the UNODC Communications Unit, ensuring that the produced videos align with the organization's branding and messaging. The task requires creativity, technical skills in video production, and an understanding of the agency's objectives in addressing drug-related issues in Afghanistan.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Produce two short elevator pitch videos that highlight UNODC's work in Afghanistan, incorporating motion graphics to enhance visual appeal.
  • Collaborate with the UNODC Communications Unit to understand the key messages and objectives of the videos.
  • Source additional footage from free licensed platforms to complement the provided materials.
  • Adhere to UNODC's branding guidelines throughout the video production process.
  • Ensure that all submitted materials are original and comply with intellectual property regulations, recognizing that they will be owned by UNODC Afghanistan.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in motion graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar).
  • Strong creative skills with the ability to conceptualize and execute engaging video content.
  • Familiarity with branding and marketing principles, particularly in the context of non-profit organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the UNODC team and understand project requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Educational Background:
A background in graphic design, multimedia production, communications, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or certifications in motion graphics and video editing will be advantageous.

Experience:
Previous experience in video production, particularly in creating promotional or informational content, is highly desirable. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in a similar context will be considered a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and materials will be in English. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly local languages spoken in Afghanistan, would be beneficial but not required.
