Job Overview:
The International Anti-Corruption Consultant will play a crucial role in the Corruption and Financial Crime Branch (CFB) of UNODC, which has merged two global programmes to create a harmonized approach to grant management. The consultant will be responsible for managing the onboarding process and ensuring that all grants are reported into the DevResults platform. This position requires a consistent approach to planning, monitoring, and reporting across various initiatives. The consultant will also support the finalization of CFB’s new merged global programme and review thematic briefs analyzing UNCAC provisions with human rights obligations. This role is essential in demonstrating and showcasing results, particularly in a competitive resource environment where mandates and requests are increasing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with several key responsibilities: A. Manage and implement the onboarding process for all GLOZ99 and GLOU40 INL grants into the DevResults platform, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met. B. Support and review grant management across CFB to maintain a consistent approach to planning, monitoring, and reporting. C. Contribute to the finalization of CFB’s new merged global programme, ensuring that all components are integrated effectively. D. Review and support the finalization of CFB’s thematic brief that analyzes UNCAC provisions in relation to human rights obligations. These duties require a high level of coordination with various stakeholders and a deep understanding of the UNODC’s objectives and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university-level degree in law, public administration, or a relevant field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted. A minimum of five years of working experience in law, rule of law, or a similar area is required, along with experience in anti-corruption and economic crimes, transnational organized crime, or related fields. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential, as is experience with monitoring and evaluation. Familiarity with the United Nations or similar international organizations is desirable.

Educational Background:
The position requires an advanced university-level degree in law, public administration, or another relevant field. In cases where candidates possess a first-level university degree, they must also have two additional years of qualifying experience to be considered equivalent to the advanced degree requirement.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of relevant working experience in areas such as law, rule of law, anti-corruption, or transnational organized crime. This experience should demonstrate a strong understanding of the complexities involved in these fields and the ability to navigate international frameworks and standards.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, as it is one of the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. A working knowledge of French is desirable, and proficiency in any other official United Nations language (Arabic, Chinese, French, or Russian) is considered an advantage.
