Job Overview:
The consultant will be responsible for organizing and delivering a five-day training of trainers workshop focused on gender and anti-corruption investigations. This role involves preparing training modules and a manual on gender in anti-corruption investigations, which will be disseminated to relevant stakeholders. The consultant will also facilitate expert consultations to compile recommendations aimed at strengthening Haiti's national framework on gender and anti-corruption. The position requires a deep understanding of the interconnections between gender and corruption, as well as the ability to produce comprehensive documents that address these issues. The consultant will work closely with UNODC personnel and other stakeholders to ensure that gender considerations are integrated into anti-corruption efforts, particularly in the context of Haiti, where gender inequality is a significant challenge.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will perform several key deliverables: 1) Organize and deliver a five-day training workshop on gender and anti-corruption investigations, ensuring that the training modules are effectively rolled out and validated. 2) Revise the training modules and manual based on participant feedback, ensuring they are complete and ready for dissemination. 3) Facilitate consultations with experts in Haiti to gather insights and recommendations for enhancing the national framework on gender and anti-corruption. 4) Produce a comprehensive document that synthesizes the recommendations from trained practitioners and experts, aimed at improving Haiti's approach to gender and anti-corruption. The consultant will work under the supervision of the Chief of the Corruption and Financial Crime Branch and the Anti-Corruption Adviser for Haiti, coordinating with other UNODC personnel as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in law, social sciences, public administration, economics, or a closely related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in similar fields combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in anti-corruption investigations, civil society organizations, or academia is required, with a strong emphasis on gender-related issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, research capabilities, and experience in drafting analytical reports are essential. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is also required. Familiarity with the United Nations Convention against Corruption and international gender standards is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as law, social sciences, public administration, or economics. Candidates with a first-level university degree in similar fields may be considered if they have additional qualifying experience. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of gender and anti-corruption investigations.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in roles related to anti-corruption, including practical investigation experience or work within anti-corruption authorities or civil society organizations. Candidates should have a robust understanding of gender issues, particularly as they relate to corruption investigations. Experience in gender-related work and the ability to navigate complex social issues are critical for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and French is required, as these are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Knowledge of another United Nations official language or Creole is considered an advantage, enhancing the consultant's ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
