Job Overview:
The position of Local Individual Contractor for Website Development, CMS Optimization, and Technical Maintenance is primarily focused on enhancing the functionality and security of the Central Asian PVE (CAPVE) website. This role is essential for supporting the project aimed at preventing violent extremism in the digital space. The contractor will be responsible for conducting a thorough technical evaluation of the existing website, ensuring that it meets modern standards of performance and security. The contractor will also provide training to website administrators and execute regular maintenance tasks to ensure the website remains operational and effective in sharing critical information and resources related to preventing radicalization and terrorism. The contractor will work closely with the UNODC project team and will be expected to deliver high-quality results while adhering to the project's objectives and timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Individual Contractor include performing a comprehensive audit of the CAPVE website architecture, identifying maintenance needs, and implementing necessary bug fixes. The contractor will upgrade the PHP environment and core WordPress plugins, ensuring compatibility and security. They will test and verify the functionality of various website elements, optimize the site for cross-browser compatibility, and ensure that system administrators can easily manage content. Additionally, the contractor will develop and conduct a training session for website administrators, coordinate technical maintenance exercises, and provide stable alternatives for deprecated plugins. The contractor will also be responsible for reporting progress to the designated UNODC Officer and ensuring the professional execution of all tasks.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with formal qualifications or certifications in computer science, information technology, graphic design, or web design being desirable. Candidates must have at least seven years of proven professional experience in full-stack web development, specifically with advanced WordPress CMS environments. Proficiency in PHP, database management, web server configuration, responsive design, and modern cybersecurity protocols is essential. A comprehensive portfolio showcasing previous web development projects is also desirable, demonstrating the candidate's capability and experience in the field.

Educational Background:
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. While formal qualifications or certifications from recognized educational institutions in relevant fields are desirable, the emphasis is on practical experience and proven skills in web development and technical maintenance.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of seven years of professional experience in full-stack web development, with a strong focus on managing and optimizing WordPress CMS environments. Languages:
