Job Overview:
The position of Associate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is crucial for the World Food Programme's mission in Colombia, particularly in addressing the challenges of food insecurity exacerbated by conflict, climate-related disasters, and economic downturns. The role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of WFP's programs through evidence-based decision-making, design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, management, and evaluation. The Associate will coordinate data collection activities, contribute to data analysis, interpretation, and reporting related to program execution and outcomes, and support evaluations. The Associate will work under the supervision of the designated office head, ensuring that monitoring and evaluation practices align with WFP's corporate standards and contribute to the overall strategic objectives of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Associate M&E include managing and supervising a team of field monitors, providing constructive feedback to develop a cohesive and high-performing team. The Associate will support the line manager in preparing and tracking detailed budgets for monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring timely information is available to support country office plans. They will also assist in strengthening the monitoring capacity of WFP, its partners, and the government by offering learning and development opportunities. The Associate will implement corporate M&E standards in field monitoring activities, work closely with program units to monitor intervention execution and results, and maintain good partnerships with beneficiary communities and cooperating partners. They will be responsible for data collection, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines, and conducting periodic quality checks on collected data. Additionally, the Associate will analyze data, prepare reports, and provide timely information to beneficiaries regarding findings from monitoring activities. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying areas for program improvement and ensuring that all monitoring activities are conducted in accordance with WFP's institutional standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a desirable professional degree in economics, public administration, industrial engineering, or related social sciences, complemented by studies or experience in quantitative analysis. A minimum of six years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as in communicating results, is required. Experience in team leadership and management is essential, along with familiarity with monitoring and evaluation systems and standards, such as KoBo and data visualization tools. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes the completion of secondary education as a minimum. A professional degree in relevant fields such as economics, public administration, industrial engineering, or social sciences is highly desirable. Additional studies or certifications in quantitative analysis or related areas will be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as in the communication of results.
