Job Overview:
The Program Officer for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health will play a crucial role in the EpiC project aimed at improving health outcomes in Liberia's high-burden counties. This position involves supporting project implementation through administrative assistance and program management functions. The Program Officer will be responsible for ensuring that project activities are executed on schedule and within budget, while also collecting and analyzing relevant data to inform project decisions. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including technical teams and external partners, to facilitate effective communication and coordination. The Program Officer will also be tasked with compliance-related documentation and tracking deliverables, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Officer will be responsible for a range of duties including: collaborating with the project management team to meet project needs; providing administrative support such as planning meetings and managing travel requests; tracking and organizing necessary documentation for procurement; collecting and analyzing project-related data; maintaining project files and distribution lists; assisting in managing the project calendar; and ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines. Additionally, the Program Officer will support the project team in delivering high-quality outputs to donors and may take on special project duties as assigned. In terms of finance support, the officer will assist with budget coordination and serve as a liaison to internal finance units, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are managed effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills, a basic understanding of project design concepts, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to solve problems, recommend corrective actions, and maintain strong organizational skills is essential. The Program Officer should be articulate and professional, capable of communicating clearly with clients and staff. Attention to detail is crucial for adhering to project deadlines, and the candidate must be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent in fields such as Civil Society, Communication and Social Marketing, Law, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Gender, Health, Research, Technology, Youth, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of the projects and the communities served.

Experience:
Typically, a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience is required, particularly in supporting projects or technical practice areas. Candidates with prior work experience in non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies, or private organizations will be preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is also advantageous, as it is commonly used for project management and reporting tasks.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as the Program Officer must be able to read, write, and speak the language proficiently. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they relate to the communities served by the project.

This position is full-time and offers a competitive compensation package, with an expected salary range of USD 14,000 - 20,000 annually.
