The organization offers language and communication skills courses in multiple languages including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish, primarily to staff members at UN Headquarters in New York and across the Global Secretariat. The LCTU aims to align its offerings with organizational goals and priorities, adhering to UN policies and instructions on learning, and the Secretary-General's recommendations on multilingualism. Teachers are expected to provide both group and individual feedback, administer evaluations, tests, and exams as scheduled, and deliver final evaluations and attendance reports at the end of each language learning term. The position requires participation in the development of language or communication skills projects, with periodic reporting on project progress and integration of feedback from supervisors to ensure quality deliverables. Teachers must also respond to emails within 48 hours, emphasizing the importance of communication and responsiveness in this role. Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign or second language to adults in a multicultural setting is required. This experience should encompass various environments, including corporate, academic, or other professional settings. Of the five years, at least three years must involve recent experience in curriculum development, language examination design, and/or language teacher training. Familiarity with e-learning tools, learning management systems, and online collaboration tools is desirable, as is experience in an international, multicultural context, which is highly valued in this role.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and French is essential, as these are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
