Job Overview: The Employment Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the provision of employment services tailored for refugees, asylees, and SIV clients. This position is responsible for ensuring that program goals are met while maintaining high standards of service delivery and compliance with contractual obligations. The Employment Supervisor will lead a team, providing guidance and support to direct service staff, and will report directly to the Economic Empowerment Manager. The role requires a proactive approach to managing employment programs, ensuring that all services are delivered effectively and in alignment with the organization's standards. The Employment Supervisor will also engage in grant writing and assist in producing high-quality reports for funders, demonstrating the impact of the programs.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Employment Supervisor's responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the successful delivery of employment services. Key duties include:
Staff Management: Leading and supervising a team of direct service staff, conducting team meetings, providing individual coaching, and managing workloads.
Compliance Documentation: Ensuring that all programs meet funder and agency requirements for documentation and data tracking. This includes conducting periodic reviews of case files and electronic data.
Client Services: Overseeing the implementation of employment programs, tracking client progress, and maintaining communication with staff regarding challenging cases.
Relationship Building: Developing relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities for clients and promoting gender equality in employment access.
Team Participation: Actively participating in program meetings and staff development activities, ensuring compliance with agency policies.
