Job Overview: The Organizational Culture & Transformation Intern position is designed for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in organizational culture, change management, and project coordination within a complex international organization. The intern will support the Department of Safeguards in its strategic initiative 'SGTeam', which focuses on strengthening organizational culture and enhancing effectiveness. This role provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and engage in hands-on projects that contribute to the IAEA's mission. The intern will be involved in various activities, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, and research on organizational culture and transformation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will assist with the coordination and implementation of organizational culture and transformation initiatives under the SG Team programme. Responsibilities include supporting project planning and follow-up activities, managing timelines, organizing meetings, and facilitating coordination across workstreams. The intern will contribute to change management activities such as stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and readiness assessments. Additionally, the intern will help prepare presentations, briefing notes, reports, and other materials related to culture and transformation initiatives. Conducting research on organizational culture and change management approaches, as well as coordinating with teams and stakeholders across the Department, will also be key responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in business administration, organizational psychology, economics, public administration, public policy, social sciences, or related disciplines. An advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in supporting project management, organizational transformation, cultural transformation, and change management initiatives in either public or private organizations is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential, along with the ability to comprehend technical content related to nuclear security. Experience with social media and event promotion is considered an asset, as is familiarity with project management and change management methodologies and tools.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree. They may apply up to one year after completing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. Candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship-programme" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship programme.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have experience supporting project management and organizational transformation initiatives. Experience in cultural transformation, change management, and advisory initiatives in both public and private sectors is highly valued. Familiarity with management consulting, transformation programmes, organizational development, HR transformation, and people and culture initiatives is considered an asset.
Languages: Good written and spoken English is essential for this position. Fluency in any other IAEA official language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, or Russian, is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's application.
Additional Notes: The internship is expected to last for a duration of 12 months. Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years of age and are required to attach two signed letters of recommendation to their application. This internship is a full-time position, and candidates must be available for the entire duration of the internship.
