Job Overview:
The Logistics Intern position at NRC Nigeria is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about contributing to humanitarian efforts. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the logistics unit, ensuring that operations run smoothly. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including assisting in procurement processes by collecting quotations, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with NRC's procurement policies. They will support supplier follow-up to ensure timely delivery and resolve any logistical issues that may arise. The intern will also maintain and update asset inventory records to ensure accuracy and accountability, as well as ensure proper documentation and filing of logistics records on O365 for audit readiness. Additionally, the intern will assist in data entry and database updates, ensuring that all information is accurate and complete. They will be involved in asset disposal processes in accordance with NRC policies and procedures, build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, support market assessments, and participate in supplier prequalification processes as required. The intern may also perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor to support logistics and operations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Logistics Intern position should be recent graduates in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A basic understanding of logistics and operations processes is essential, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial, as is a genuine interest in the humanitarian or NGO sector. Fluency in English is mandatory for this role.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a recent degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding logistics and operations within the humanitarian context, equipping the intern with the skills needed to navigate the complexities of supply chain management effectively.

Experience:
