Job Overview:
The Associate Programme Officer will play a crucial role in UNHCR Ethiopia, which is addressing one of the largest refugee populations in Africa. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Programme Officer will undertake a variety of tasks under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Officer. Key responsibilities include supporting the design and implementation of green livelihoods and renewable energy interventions in line with UNHCR’s global strategies. This involves assisting in the development of project proposals, work plans, and results frameworks, as well as coordinating with partners, government entities, and private sector actors to ensure coherent interventions. The officer will also contribute to market assessments and sustainable energy access evaluations. Monitoring and reporting duties will include overseeing partner-implemented activities, planning field missions, collecting and analyzing data, drafting donor reports, and maintaining project documentation. Additionally, the officer will provide technical support on renewable energy solutions and facilitate capacity building for partners. Participation in inter-agency working groups and promoting inclusive approaches that benefit both refugees and host communities are also essential aspects of the role.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of green livelihoods and renewable energy concepts, along with experience in project management and coordination.
