Job Overview: The Advocacy and Media Manager position at NRC is pivotal in shaping and directing the organization's advocacy and communications efforts in South Sudan. Duties and Responsibilities: The Advocacy and Media Manager will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: identifying and coordinating NRC's advocacy responses to prioritized issues; developing and implementing an impactful advocacy and communications strategy; ensuring systematic training on advocacy and communication for relevant staff; preparing high-quality analysis on humanitarian, displacement, conflict, and protection trends; representing NRC to key stakeholders and strengthening strategic advocacy networks; liaising with other NRC offices to coordinate advocacy messaging; leading or contributing to in-country advocacy objectives; raising awareness of displaced people's issues; increasing accountability through public information dissemination; contributing to problem and program analyses; monitoring the implementation and impact of advocacy plans; preparing briefings, reports, and communications materials; gathering and analyzing primary data and evidence; focusing on capacity development for South Sudanese advocates; supporting coordination fora on advocacy plans; acting as a public spokesperson; facilitating media visits; supporting resource mobilization and project visibility; and assisting with crisis communications as needed.
