Job Overview: The position of Online Volunteer Recruiter at PROSDOMA involves supporting the organization in expanding its volunteer network, particularly in the areas of environmental protection, humanitarian action, community development, peacebuilding, and newcomer integration initiatives across Africa and Canada. The role is crucial for strengthening the recruitment process by screening and interviewing prospective volunteers to ensure they align with PROSDOMA’s organizational standards and values. The recruiter will also assist in developing educational social media content that promotes awareness and community engagement in sustainable development initiatives. This position requires a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and strong communication skills, as well as respect for diversity and confidentiality in line with ethical volunteer recruitment practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support PROSDOMA in recruiting, screening, and interviewing prospective volunteers to ensure they meet the organization's standards and values.
Identify qualified and motivated individuals who align with PROSDOMA’s mission of environmental protection, community empowerment, humanitarian assistance, peacebuilding, and agriculture.
Contribute to the design and creation of educational and awareness materials for PROSDOMA’s social media platforms.
Promote sustainable agriculture, climate action, reforestation, water conservation, youth empowerment, and social inclusion initiatives through social media content.
Maintain professionalism and strong communication throughout the recruitment process.
Uphold respect for diversity and confidentiality in all interactions.
Commit to ethical volunteer recruitment practices in accordance with United Nations Volunteer principles.
Required Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Respect for diversity and commitment to ethical practices.
Understanding of sustainable development principles and community engagement strategies.
Experience in volunteer recruitment or human resources is an asset but not mandatory.
Educational Background: A background in social sciences, human resources, community development, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in volunteer management or recruitment can be advantageous.
