Duties and Responsibilities: The Civil Engineering Technical Engineer will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including: acting as the referent for pollutant-related works within the SCE-SAM group; managing the execution of hazardous materials decontamination activities; overseeing contract management for hazardous substances decontamination frame contracts, including budget, quality, schedule, and safety; serving as the referent for civil engineering works in technical galleries and the Proton Synchrotron complex facility; collecting, prioritizing, and processing work requests from users and stakeholders; preparing technical specifications and documentation for tenders and quotations; planning and managing the execution of works, coordinating various trades, and monitoring cost, quality, schedule, and safety; ensuring compliance with safety and environmental rules; and regularly reporting and documenting activities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Civil Engineering or a related field. Additionally, certification as a pollutant removal specialist compliant with Swiss regulations and registered with SUVA is required. Ideally, candidates should also hold a valid certification in 'SS3 Technical Management' in accordance with French regulations and labor code. The role demands proven experience in executing and supervising hazardous substance decontamination works, as well as demonstrated civil engineering experience in the maintenance and operation of buildings or infrastructures. Experience in coordinating multi-technical trades across projects is essential, and familiarity with large-scale sites in industrial or scientific environments is considered an asset. Experience in building envelope renovation works and concrete and steel structure works would also be beneficial.
