Job Overview:
The Programme Analyst on Sexual and Reproductive Health plays a crucial role in the UNFPA Ukraine Country Office, reporting directly to the Head of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Unit. This position is integral to the effective delivery of sexual and reproductive health components within the country program. The Programme Analyst is responsible for analyzing and assessing political, social, and economic trends that impact sexual and reproductive health and rights, providing substantive inputs for project formulation and evaluation, and ensuring the successful implementation of UNFPA activities. The role requires a proactive approach to monitoring results, guiding the application of systems and procedures, and developing enhancements as necessary to achieve program objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Analyst will coordinate results-based planning and ensure the timely and effective implementation, monitoring, and reporting of UNFPA sexual and reproductive health programs. This includes working collaboratively with government counterparts, NGOs, and other partners to align program activities with national priorities and UNFPA policies. The Analyst will ensure the quality of design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design by incorporating lessons learned and best practices, while also establishing appropriate execution and monitoring mechanisms. Responsibilities include analyzing the political, social, and economic environment relevant to sexual and reproductive health, preparing briefs for policy dialogue, and facilitating project implementation by establishing collaborative relationships with various stakeholders. The Analyst will also provide technical support for advocacy and policy documents, assist in resource mobilization efforts, and promote knowledge sharing and replication of good practices across sectors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in medicine, public health, or a related social science field. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in sexual and reproductive health implementation is required, preferably in complex and volatile humanitarian contexts. The ability to engage with government and non-governmental partners in a professional and collaborative manner is essential, along with proven facilitation and training skills. Strong program management skills, including organizational and time-management abilities, IT literacy, and experience in program/budget management and monitoring, are also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilience under stress, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Previous experience with UNFPA or familiarity with the local context is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in medicine, public health, or a related social science field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of sexual and reproductive health issues and to effectively contribute to program development and implementation.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of relevant experience in sexual and reproductive health implementation. Experience in a humanitarian context is preferred, as it equips candidates with the skills to navigate complex and rapidly changing environments. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with implementing partners and managing remote monitoring systems, which is considered an asset for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Ukrainian is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of other official UN languages is desirable, as it can enhance communication and collaboration within the UN system and with international partners.
