Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position at CCID is focused on the 'Her Peace, Our Peace' initiative, which aims to enhance the protection and participation of 500 adolescent girls and young women in conflict-affected coastal communities in Cameroon's South-West Region. The role involves translating a comprehensive digital campaign strategy into actionable plans and materials that will prepare CCID for a successful campaign launch. The volunteer will not manage the campaign but will ensure that CCID is equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and knowledge to run the campaign independently until its conclusion in December 202
This includes developing a brand kit, content production pipeline, and training CCID staff and Young Women Peace Ambassadors on various aspects of campaign management and content creation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Online Volunteer will undertake a variety of tasks under the supervision of the programme team and partner organizations. Key responsibilities include conducting an inception phase with CCID leadership and Young Women Peace Ambassadors to contextualize the campaign, auditing CCID's existing social media presence, and recommending platform priorities for the campaign rollout. The volunteer will build a brand asset library, refresh CCID's WhatsApp Business hotline, produce launch and pillar content, draft post copy for the campaign's first month, and schedule content for publication. Additionally, the volunteer will design and deliver capacity-building sessions for CCID staff, train Young Women Peace Ambassadors on storytelling and videography, and produce a Campaign Operations Handbook to document workflows. The role also includes creating a playbook for the 16 Days of Activism campaign and conducting a final handover session with CCID leadership, ensuring a smooth transition and providing post-handover advisory support.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess strong communication skills, particularly in content creation and social media management. Experience: The ideal candidate should have prior experience in volunteer roles, internships, or professional positions related to digital marketing, community development, or advocacy.
