Job Overview: The Local Implementation Expert/Coordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the CARDIO4Cities project in Portugal, which aims to enhance public health policies through South-South Cooperation. This position involves supporting the coordination, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of project activities in alignment with strategic objectives and established indicators. The expert will engage with local counterparts and ensure that the project meets its goals of improving cardiovascular health and reducing health inequities in urban settings. The role requires a strong focus on data analysis, monitoring health indicators, and developing systems to track progress. The expert will also be responsible for training local teams and promoting project sustainability in municipalities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Local Implementation Expert/Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: coordinating and planning project activities; preparing monthly reports detailing activities and results; analyzing data related to primary health care and chronic non-communicable diseases; developing dashboards for health indicators; integrating databases from various municipalities; conducting advanced data analysis; ensuring data quality and compliance with regulations; supporting interoperability between local systems and digital tools; producing analytical reports; training local teams; coordinating capacity-building activities; producing technical content; participating in strategic meetings; ensuring compliance with guidelines; promoting project sustainability; and supporting submissions for awards and recognitions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, a focus on digital innovation, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and health innovation.
