The Finance Coordinator will also contribute to the implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards and promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within NRC and among project participants.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks including ensuring that all financial operations adhere to NRC's Financial Handbook and policies, implementing financial systems and procedures, maintaining budget control, and monitoring cash flows. Specific duties include managing the finance team, providing regular analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis and reports for projects, overseeing financial software for proper control, and ensuring timely month-end closures. The Coordinator will review payment documents for accuracy and compliance, oversee bank reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of financial data entered into Agresso/UNIT
Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for archiving supporting documents, reviewing implementing partner financial reports, drafting project budgets, and providing technical support to budget holders. The role also involves assisting with internal and external audits and ensuring optimal allocation of expenses in line with approved budgets.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience as a Finance Coordinator in an international non-governmental organization (INGO) or humanitarian agency. A university degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have experience working in complex and volatile contexts and possess solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Moldova, as the organization is unable to provide work permits or visa sponsorships for this position.
