Job Overview:
The E T Consultant - Knowledge Management and Learning (KML) Officer position is integral to the Digital Transformation Vertical Vice Presidency of the World Bank Group. This role involves supporting the planning and implementation of significant events such as The Global Digital Summit & Exhibit 2026, coordinating knowledge management initiatives, and enhancing digital learning experiences for staff. The KML Officer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge sharing and learning within the organization, contributing to the overarching goal of advancing digital transformation in client countries. The position requires a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Digital & AI vertical.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The KML Officer will report to the KML lead and will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
  • Planning and implementing The Global Digital Summit & Exhibit 2026, coordinating with the Korean MSIT and event management companies to ensure successful execution.
  • Supporting the implementation of Knowledge 360 for the Digital & AI Vertical, including curating resources and conducting policy research.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of learning events for WBG staff as part of the DRIVE initiative, including developing and updating relevant online resources.
  • Maintaining and updating the Digital & AI Intranet, ensuring that it serves as an effective repository for knowledge and resources.
  • Coordinating the delivery of academy events and liaising with the central WBG Academy team to ensure adherence to guidelines.
  • Organizing onboarding events for new Digital & AI staff, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to integrate into the organization effectively.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of training and learning events through surveys and evaluations, and reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Management, Information Management, Computer Science, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of motivation, flexibility, and reliability, with the ability to respond to changing demands and effectively manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, SharePoint, and Forms, is essential, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills are critical, as well as proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and presentation skills are required, with a track record of effectively communicating technical information to non-specialists. Experience in designing learning programs is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Knowledge Management, Information Management, Computer Science, Communications, or Business Administration. A Master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred, indicating a higher level of expertise and understanding of the complexities involved in knowledge management and digital transformation.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in knowledge management, digital transformation, or a related field. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully managing projects and initiatives that involve collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Experience in designing and implementing learning programs, as well as familiarity with digital tools and platforms, is highly desirable. The ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English, which is required for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders. While not mandatory, proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances the ability to engage with a broader range of partners and clients.
