Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
  • Data processing and outline for the 'In numbers' and 'in-depth' chapters of the 2027 FSDR, which involves researching, compiling, and analyzing data on the implementation of the Sevilla Commitment related to debt, STI, and public finance. The consultant will coordinate with IATF members to ensure data accuracy and propose suitable visualizations.
  • Preparing draft written inputs and charts for the 'in numbers' and 'in-depth' chapters of the FSDR, summarizing key progress indicators.
  • Supporting the conceptual development and planning of FFD-relevant meetings, including preparing background documents and organizing meetings with stakeholders.
  • Providing monthly progress reports on the status of assignments, ensuring that the work aligns with the objectives of the FFD process and the Sevilla Commitment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in economics, finance, social science, or related fields. A minimum of two years of experience in research and quantitative analysis related to economics or a related area is required. Knowledge of financing for development and policy debates in development finance, particularly in public finance and fiscal space, is desirable. A demonstrable track record in producing analytical reports and research pieces is also preferred. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required, while knowledge of statistical software such as Stata and programming languages like R and Python is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree, specifically a Master’s degree or equivalent, in fields such as economics, finance, social science, or other related disciplines. Experience:
