Job Overview:
The Senior Operations Assistant position is situated within the Digital Sector Office (DIG) of the Sectors Department 2 (SD2) at ADB's headquarters in Manila. This role is crucial for providing technical and operational support to DIG's portfolio, which includes projects, technical assistance (TA), trust funds, and knowledge activities. The Senior Operations Assistant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ADB procedures and facilitating the timely delivery of outputs from the DIG work program. The focus of this role is on execution, coordination, and operational reliability rather than policy formulation or analytical leadership. The position requires a proactive approach to managing day-to-day operational tasks and supporting the overall mission of ADB in fostering prosperity in Asia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Operations Assistant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: supporting the processing and administration of DIG projects, TAs, and trust funds; preparing, formatting, and quality checking routine documentation; coordinating internal clearances; maintaining records; and tracking milestones and timelines. The role also involves assisting in budget monitoring, commitment and disbursement tracking, and processing payments using ADB corporate systems. Additionally, the Senior Operations Assistant will support consultant recruitment and contract administration activities, maintain project databases and filing systems, provide operational and logistical support for DIG knowledge events, and assist in the maintenance of DIG digital platforms. The position requires coordination with various departments and internal service units to ensure smooth workflow execution and may involve performing other operational and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Senior Operations Assistant position must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Public Sector Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Development Studies, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant areas such as Public Sector Management, Business Management, Development Studies, or Information Technology is required. Applicants should have a good understanding of ADB operational procedures, systems, and administrative workflows, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge. Proficiency in using corporate IT systems, databases, and standard office applications is essential.
