The role is designed to provide interns with a comprehensive understanding of ESCAP's operations and its contributions to the Asia-Pacific region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will assist the team of the Secretary of the Commission in various capacities, primarily focusing on three key areas: Intergovernmental Services (40%), Knowledge Management (40%), and Operations and Administration (20%). Proof of enrollment or completion must be provided at the time of application, and an official certificate will be required later in the process.

Experience:
No prior professional work experience is required for this internship; however, relevant academic experience or coursework related to the internship's focus is beneficial. Interns should be prepared to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in the relevant areas during the application process.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is advantageous and may enhance the candidate's application.
