Job Overview:
The Fleet Mobility Coordinator will play a crucial role within the Accounting Department at CIMMYT, focusing on the coordination of daily fleet operations. This position requires a dynamic individual with a results-oriented mindset and strong teamwork skills. The coordinator will be responsible for overseeing vehicle assignments and scheduling, ensuring that all fleet operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role also involves monitoring vehicle maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service intervals to maintain the fleet in optimal condition. The Fleet Mobility Coordinator will maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet records, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations. This position is essential for supporting budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives related to fleet management, as well as investigating vehicle incidents and ensuring proper documentation and follow-up. The coordinator will also communicate with drivers regarding vehicle usage, policies, and safety procedures, supporting fleet safety programs and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Fleet Mobility Coordinator include coordinating daily fleet operations, which encompasses vehicle assignment and scheduling. The coordinator will monitor vehicle maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service intervals to ensure that all vehicles are in good working order. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date fleet records is crucial, including documentation of registration, insurance, maintenance logs, mileage, and fuel usage. The coordinator will ensure compliance with local, state, SRE, and federal transportation regulations and coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, fuel management, and TAG administration. Additionally, the coordinator will track and manage fleet-related costs, supporting budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives. Investigating vehicle incidents, accidents, and insurance claims is also part of the role, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up. The coordinator will communicate with drivers regarding vehicle usage, policies, and safety procedures, and support fleet safety programs while ensuring driver compliance with internal policies. Lastly, the coordinator will assist with the procurement, replacement, and disposal of fleet vehicles.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Additionally, 3–5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, transportation, or a related field is required. Experience working with vendors and managing operational processes is also essential. Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. A basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical concepts is important, as well as familiarity with transportation.
