Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Research Analyst include but are not limited to:
Conducting thorough research on health-related topics, including epidemiology, health systems, and public health policies.
Analyzing data from various sources to identify trends and inform health interventions.
Preparing detailed reports and presentations that summarize research findings and recommendations.
Collaborating with health professionals and stakeholders to gather insights and validate research outcomes.
Participating in meetings and workshops to discuss research findings and contribute to strategic planning.
Monitoring and evaluating health programs to assess their effectiveness and impact.
Providing technical assistance and guidance to project teams on health-related issues.
Ensuring that all research activities comply with ethical standards and UNDP guidelines.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in public health, health policy, or a related field. A proven ability to conduct research and analyze complex data sets is essential. Familiarity with statistical software and data analysis tools is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey research findings to diverse audiences. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are also required.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field is required for this position. Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of professional experience in health research or analysis. Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies in health-related projects is highly valued. Familiarity with the health landscape in Pakistan and previous involvement in health program evaluations will be considered an asset.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both spoken and written. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Pakistan, such as Urdu, is considered a strong advantage as it facilitates communication with local stakeholders and communities.
